Biography

Carla Kuesten - Dr. Kuesten has 30+ years of experience in sensory and consumer research; she establishes and implements strategic direction for research and conducts global basic and applied qualitative and quantitative research studies to uncover insights for better lives through innovation. Carla’s recent publications and presentations have focused on integrating sensory and consumer research through development of new methods and application of perceptual scaling, descriptive, and discrimination methods. Carla is a member of Institute of Food Technologists (IFT), Society of Sensory Professionals (SSP), Sensometrics, and American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) International. She has held numerous positions over the years in personal and home care, nutrition, and food/beverage industries as well as consulting. Currently, she is Principal Consultant at Kuesten Sensory Perception Research, LLC, serving the research community.
