Biography

Bea Hackula, is the founder and President of Africa for Africa Women Empowerment NPC, founder of Women Building our Africa (WBoA) Primary Cooperative Financial Services, which was officially licensed by the Reserve Bank of South Africa in July 2020, she is the founder of ASSERT media which offer an online magazine and virtual coaching and mentorship sessions to empower women leaders and entrepreneurs and she is the co-founder Chair of Women of Africa Arise Forum which unites women’s organizations and professionals across Africa. Bea is a globally respected leader, strategist and public speaker especially, on leadership and women empowerment related topics. Bea has extensive executive leadership experience from both Public and Private Sectors. She is a transformational leader in action, and a champion of women and youth empowerment- a life coach and a mentor to many. Bea in her capacity as President of Africa for Africa Women is a member of BRICS Feminists Watch, a member of UN Women NGOCSW Generation Equality International Advisory Women Committee and a member of GBVF National Strategic Plan Working Committee, South Africa. A former Supply Chain Manager for Mercedes Benz of South Africa (MBSA), Bea championed the development and implementation of BEE policy within MBSA which was later adopted by the automotive industry where OEMs were obliged to develop and mentor the second-tier suppliers. Through implementation of this policy, most East London based companies including black owned SMEs grew to be global suppliers. Under her consulting company Transformation Africa, she also championed a program for SME development called Young Entrepreneurs Network which facilitated establishment and growth of Small Businesses in and around the Eastern Cape Province. In the advent of COVID 19 in 2020. Bea established a women’s forum called Women of Africa Arise which saw women entrepreneurs from across Africa coming together to support one another through virtual engagements, this has grown to be a powerful network of women in business opening trade opportunities amongst themselves. In recognition of her transformational leadership Bea became the first recipient of the prestigious BWASA Business Women of the Year Award in Government Category in 2014 as HOD of Social Development Department in the Eastern Cape, South Africa and in 2019 alone, Bea was awarded the Women Super Achievers Award at the 26th World HRD Congress in India as a thought leader and a contributor of value on Women in Leadership, the Inspiring Woman Leadership Award at the Africa Economy Builders Forum in Abidjan, Cote’ D’Ivoire and Inspired Leader Award by Enspire Magazine in South Africa. She is the recipient of the GLOBAL EXCELLENCE AWARDS - TOP 40 FEMALE LEADERS OF THE YEAR 2021. Bea is a Harvard alumnus and studied in various Universities in South Africa including the famous African Leaders University, Fort Hare. She is certified John Maxwell Coach and accredited European Foundation Quality Model (EFQM) Facilitator and Assessor, and an Independent training consultant to the National School of Government in South Africa, specializing in Executive Leadership Development program for both parliamentarians, political leadership and administration executive
